🌟 ANGAZA UPDATES – October Newsletter 🌟

We are delighted to share exciting updates and heartwarming stories from our member schools, highlighting the impactful work of the Angaza Center in promoting digital literacy and educational development.

🌟Top News🌟  Dawamu School’s Spectacular ICT Open Day: A Showcase of Talent and Tech Prowess!

The Dawamu School ICT Open Day was a resounding success! This special event allowed students enrolled in the Angaza Center’s Applied Digital Literacy Program to show off their tech skills and innovative projects to an eager audience of parents, tech professionals, and community members. With projects developed over an entire academic year, these young techies impressed everyone in attendance!

In the 2024 edition, Dawamu students came prepared and ready to shine. Their displays ranged across exciting fields like cybersecurity, data science, and software engineering. To top it off, their hard work earned them professional certifications from industry giants like HP, Cisco, Kaggle, Wavumbuzi, and Angaza Center—a true testament to their dedication and talent!

🚀 A Visit from the Netherlands: Inspiring Digital Dreams at Miruriiri Girls Secondary!

We were thrilled to welcome Balt Leenman and his friends Gera, Hans, and Jose to Miruriiri Girls Secondary School in Igoji, Meru County! With their extensive experience in ICT consultancy, cloud computing, and digital change management, this inspiring team brought a wealth of knowledge to share with our students.

During their visit, Balt and his team, all passionate advocates for digital transformation in the nonprofit sector, led the girls in an exciting session on disruptive technologies. They discussed how innovations in tech are reshaping our social and economic landscapes, helping students see how the world of technology affects the decisions we make every day.

🌍 CERDAF Digitized and Reopened: A New Era for African Research in Bukavu, D.R. Congo!

In a groundbreaking collaboration with the Missionaries of Africa – Central Africa Province (PAC), Angaza Center is excited to announce the official reopening of the Center for African Research and Documentation (CERDAF) in Bukavu, D.R. Congo! Originally founded in the 1970s by Missionary Georges Defour, CERDAF has long been a hub for preserving and sharing African literature, culture, and history with the world.

Now, with the center’s full digital transformation, we’re opening CERDAF’s doors to a broader community. This digital revolution at CERDAF will make it easier for students, educators, and the local community to access rich African literature and resources. Primary and secondary school students and teachers will benefit from sessions on digital education, while college and university students can enhance their research skills with the center’s digital tools. The local religious community will gain essential digital skills, and the local administration is stepping in to promote digital literacy among the broader community.

Thank you for your continued support! Together, we’re making a meaningful impact in education worldwide. ❤️

Warm regards,

Your Dedicated Angaza Center Team
