Joseph Mwaura

Joseph Peter Mwaura is a Co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Angaza Center, a visionary businessman, tech enthusiast, and dedicated social entrepreneur. With an unwavering commitment to the United Nations’ sustainable development goals, Peter is determined to positively impact our world by reducing social inequality through quality Information Technology education.

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Peter has undertaken numerous mandates, both locally and internationally, to promote and advocate for impactful commercial and social practices. He believes in driving initiatives that not only aim for profit-making but also prioritize sustainable community empowerment and environmental care.

Peter’s quest to be a gift to himself, his community, and society as a whole, drives him to explore and challenge himself constantly. His extensive travels to different parts of the world, including Switzerland, Italy, Brazil, Cameroon, and the Dominican Republic, have allowed him to engage in work, volunteerism, and immersive cultural experiences.

Peter’s formal education spans a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, and diploma in Guiding and Counselling from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Advanced diploma in Sales and Marketing from the Institute of Commercial Management (UK) Social and religious sciences from the Instituto Mistici corpus (Italy and Switzerland).

With his multifaceted background and unwavering dedication, Peter plays a pivotal role in driving Angaza Center’s mission to create transformative educational opportunities and bridge the digital divide in rural communities.
