Bute girls secondary school is a girls only public boarding school located in Bute town. The school started in 2004 and was formed to provide education to girls from nomadic communities in bute and the neighboring sub counties. The initial construction of the school was funded by the United States government department of defense. The school has ten classrooms,two science laboratories, three dormitories, a dining hall, and an administration block. Currently, the school has an enrollment of 300 students, 14 teachers and 9 support staff. The school attained a mean grade of B- in last year’s KCSE exams.
Angaza Center Partnership
The partnership between Bute Girls Secondary School and the Angaza Center has led to the establishment of an Information Communication Technology (ICT) resource center. This center is dedicated to enhancing digital literacy and providing students with essential digital skills. Through this collaboration, Bute Girls aims to empower its students academically and professionally, ensuring they are well-prepared for future opportunities in a technology-driven world.
